Lynnwood Ridge Primary School
Who is Ronnie?
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Did you know that for every tonne of waste paper collected,
17 trees are saved? We are proud to say that in 2011,
Lynnwood Ridge Primary School collected enough paper to save
over 1000 trees.
Ronnie Recycle is a fundraising endeavour initiated by the
school that enables us to buy much needed educational
resources and equipment. By recycling paper (this includes
magazines, boxes, old telephone directories, etc) we also
play a part in caring for the environment. Please check that
only paper items are brought to Ronnie no plastic,
tins or polystyrene will be accepted. We did experience
problems in this area last year.
Just a few friendly reminders to ensure the safety of our
children on the school premises every Tuesday:
v
The gate at the tennis court is open for dropping off
large loads of paper from 06:30 until 07:30. No one is
on duty after 07:30.
v
If your child has only one packet of paper that can easily
be carried to Ronnie, rather let your child walk into school
from where he/she is usually dropped off. Please do not
drive into the school as it only causes congestion in the
parking lot.
v
Always drive slowly and be aware of the children’s
whereabouts.
v
Park in the allocated areas (marked by yellow lines) so
traffic can flow.
v
No child or parent may enter the gate at the tennis court on
foot; ONLY CARS MAY USE THIS GATE!
Let us set a goal for 2011, to try and collect enough paper
to save at least 1200 trees. Please assist us in making a
difference!
Yours in recycling,
Mrs B. Forrest and the Recycling Team
